A Rare Winter Storm in Texas

The Texas hotels at Valencia Hotel Collection are thawed out but during the week of February 14, 2021, we came together to figure out how to keep our guests happy and safe during a rare winter storm causing power outages and water shortages.

Our hotels were able to create mass meals for guests and staff and our hotels welcomed staff members and their families who were looking for shelter with no water, heat or electricity at home. Our talented on site engineering teams were able to shut off water and take care of repairs with water pipes until plumbers were able to arrive.  Staff morale remained high providing excellent guest service to those guests who extended their stays due to poor road conditions and cancelled flights.
